In February of 2010 Michael Basciano admitted to lying about the criminal record of a man he accused of being a convicted rapist on the STD Carriers Disease Control and Prevention website. The accused man contacted the STD Carriers administrator with several long emails in which one thing stood out as an easy way to find Basciano in violation of the usage terms, so STD Carriers looked up the name of the accused in the National Sex Offender Registry. Upon finding no matching names STD Carriers contacted Basciano and asked him why the man he accused of being an convicted rapist was not a registered sex offender. Basciano's response was as follows:
I've provided proof that he was arrested for rape, convicted? His ex told me he admittted to shoving his fingers in her. If you read the link I posted, he admits to raping her with his fingers.
If you're going to get on me about saying things with no proof, you should probably do the same for David. I don't really care for any of this, I'm an asshole and a troll, I love riling this kid up because he's a scumbag who brags about turning sociopathic on girls who reject him and because he's a drug addict.
You talk about how you want things to stay on topic, they won't, not as long as David's allowed to post comments. It's obvious he has herpes, so instead of providing proof, he's just lashing out at everyone. You can't blame anyone for defending themselves when he goes psychotic about it.
But as I stated before, I'm an asshole to people like him and troll them, I used to be co-owner of www.internetownage.com but the site went to sh*t. I used to write articles on some of the biggest failures on the net and get paid. Your site kinda reminds me of that..seems most of the people on there are scumbags who refuse to tell their partners they have an STD.

It was at that moment when Basciano became the first person to admit violating the sites Terms of Use for which both first name and last name were known while also bullying his first victim by insulting him in an email to the site and claiming another victim by insulting the site itself. His email was quickly posted in the now defunct Threats, Rants, and Raves section of the site before a press release was sent out to media outlets in his area resulting in a story withing hours. His biggest mistake was using the word "convicted" because of all the things you can accuse someone of online being convicted of a crime that requires offenders to be listed online in a national government registry is one of the easiest accusations to disprove.
