Marilyn Davenport's Racist Obama Chimpanzee Picture

TEA Party activist and Orange County Republican Party member Marilyn Davenport pissed off a lot of people back in April of this year when she started emailing a crude Photoshopped image to people that depicted Barack Obama as a Chimpanzee. Obama was shown as the child in the picture with Chimpanzee parents in what Davenport called a joke related to accusations that Barack Obama is not a US citizen and a reason why he may not have a valid birth certificate.

Party leaders started calling for her resignation, but refused to quite the party. In one email she stated that she at no point did she "even consider the fact he's half black" when making the racist image depicting a black man as a monkey. That explanation might make sense, but only if she didn't know about the half white part when making it.
