UNDERSTANDING THE TWISTED MIND OF A CYBER-STALKER

Cyber-Stalking is an World Wide problem that according to Statistics is increasing especially within the United States. Psychiatrists and Psychologists have studied behavioral patterns, frame of mind, living conditions and other behaviors demonstrated by known Cyber-Stalkers. The following conclusions have been reached:

1}. The majority of Cyber-Stalkers {as many as 88%} suffer mental illness. The mental illness and conditions associated with Cyber Stalkers include OCD {Obsessive Compulsive disorder}- Bi-Polar Disorder-Sexual Dysfunction- Drug Abuse, Depression, Poor Self-Image. In addition, the Cyber-Bully may also possess intense feelings of Jealousy, Envy and even 'Hatred" toward their Victim.

A}. Cyber-Stalkers tend to avoid Social situations. Most are Isolated, Anti-Social, Reclusive, Possessive, Self-Centered and constantly obsess about "Their" needs, giving no thought to the needs of others. Life is all about "Themselves". As if no one else even exists at least not in their isolated unrealistic world.

B}. Cyber-Stalkers normally have very few friends, they engage in risky behaviors and can not maintain Healthy Relationships. In reality, these mentally damaged individuals "Use" others for what they can get from the other person. In addition, these Bullies/Stalkers "Never" give back they are "Takers".

C}. Cyber-Stalkers are generally "Miserable" and one very Common trait is they are "Pathological" Liars and extremely "Untrustworthy". Cyber-Stalkers naturally "Lie" to cover up their odd behaviors. They show no Emotion or Care about another living soul. Cyber-Stalkers have no regret about the way they mistreated others.

UNDERSTANDING THE CYBER-BULLY'S ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOR & THE NEED TO CONTROL:

2}. Cyber-Stalkers treat most people like a possession not a person. Cyber-Stalkers rarely admit fault and almost never seek Professional help on their own. Due to the nature of their Mental Illness, Cyber-Stalkers may complain about being Persecuted and Misunderstood. However, when it comes to the act of Cyber-Stalking some are very clever and some are not. They take a grandiose and care-free attitude and believe they will "Never" be caught. Remember, they don't think about "Consequences"!

A}. The Computer becomes the Cyber-Bully's best friend and most trusted confidant'. They feel safe and secure while on line. The "Harsh" reality is that a Cyber-Stalker has a score to settle with someone weather it be an Ex boyfriend, girlfriend, friend, co-worker, ex spouse etc.

B}. Cyber-Stalking is about total "Control". However, the Cyber-Bully may also have feelings of "Revenge", "Intimidation" and down right "Hatred" toward their Victim. Cyber-Bullies can also act in an immature and childish manner. They can have difficulty acting like a responsible and well adjusted adult.

YOUR STALKER MAY HAVE A PERSONAL CONNECTION:

3}. In many cases Cyber-Stalkers know their Victim. However, a 'Stranger" can become a Stalker. A Stalker can keep tabs on someone they never met for several months. Sadly in extreme cases Cyber-Stalking can turn sinister even deadly. This is one reason the punishment for a "Convicted" Cyber-Bully can be unusually severe even if it's a first offense. Harsh punishment is supposed to act as a deterrent.

A}. Interesting Facts:

Cyber-Stalkers get sheer delight in torturing and instilling fear in their Intended Victim. Almost like the Stalker is controlling the Victim's life from afar or from their Computer Keyboard.

B}. As twisted as it sounds, the Cyber-Stalker may actually care for or about their Victim. The Cyber-Stalker may have been close to the Victim at one time. Actually, the Stalker may have fond memories of the Victim. For whatever reason, the past does not matter to the Stalker and he or she may be "Obsessed" with punishing the Victim at all costs. It's important to keep in mind that the Stalker lacks the ability to feel real emotion and/or empathy toward anyone. The Cyber-Bully is wired much differently than you or I. Without a doubt, a stalker is looked upon by society as a "TOXIC' and "DANGEROUS" Individual. Cyber-Stalkers spend most of their time involved in Non-Constructive activity. Reading a Book may be foreign to a Stalker.

C}. Most Cyber-Stalkers suffer from "Poor Self image" and feelings of "Inferiority".

D}. Most times "Legal Intervention" is necessary to stop the Cyber-Bully.

E}. The Victim of the Stalker can suffer "Emotional Trauma".

AFTERMATH/ GAINING CONTROL OF YOUR LIFE ONCE AGAIN:

4}. Conclusion/ Re-establishing one's life after a traumatic experience can be difficult. More support and Impact groups are being formed to help Victims return to normal living. Cyber-Stalking Victims can experience "Trauma", "Fear", "Shame", "Depression" and Distrust of others. Some Cyber-Bully Victims seek Professional help in effort to deal with whatever "Damage" the Cyber-Stalking caused them.

A}. Support Groups may be of help to Victims. Support Groups allow individuals to talk about their Trauma within a group setting. Group settings can allow friendships to form which may expedite the healing process. However, some may prefer the privacy of meeting a Professional Analyst in an one on one setting.

B}. Finally, NEVER Ignore a Cyber-Stalking incident. Make certain you alert a Teacher, Parent, Co-Worker, Friend. Call Authorities if necessary. NEVER give a Cyber-Bully the upper hand. Stalkers think they are indestructible. They count on their Victims to back-down and become Fearful.

C}. Attorney's can be Costly but it may be necessary to seek their advice on how to proceed if you have been Cyber-Stalked. Keep in mind Cyber-Stalkers will many times target their Prey on Public On-line Forums such as Facebook, Reddit, Meet-Up web sites and Pinterest. Stalkers also make use of E-mail communication, Text messaging and voice communication. Cyber-Bullies must learn that Felony Charges can be brought against them. They "Must" be EXPOSED for the bad deeds and to alert other potential Victims.

SCENARIO'S OF POSSIBLE FATE OF STALKER IF A CONVICTION IS SECURED:

*A Felony Conviction may result in Jail time, Court Fines up to $25,000,and having an FELONY Record which is Public Record and easily accessible. Therefore, possible employers can obtain this information as well as friends, family, law enforcement or just about anyone. Jail terms for First-Time Offenders {6 -12 months}- Fines between $5-$8,000. Probationary Period of up to 3 years once released. More Severe punishment for Repeat Offenders: If the convicted has Children, parental rights can be Seriously Affected during incarceration and afterward.

CYBER-STALKING IS A SERIOUS CRIME- BEST ADVICE- DON'T ENGAGE IN THIS ILLEGAL ACT TO BEGIN WITH- YOU WILL NOT "WIN" IN THE END: ASIDE FROM A FELONY RECORD- THE CYBER-BULLY MAY HARM THEIR REPUTATION BEYOND REPAIR. A REPUTATION IS IMPORTANT. FOOLISH ACTS CAN NOT BE UNDONE. MORE CYBER-STALKERS ARE BEING CAUGHT.
