In late 2008 an unknown individual or group of individuals repeatedly attacked a new STD prevention service by defacing its website. The attacks all of which took place on or about November 3rd of that year were part of a failed attempt to harass and intimidate the owner of the site following a national news story that had just aired on CNN. The attacks began by posting defamatory statements about Senators John McCain and Barack Obama before taking screenshots, sending them to their campaigns, and trying to convince the webmaster that he would be held liable.
