One look at myself and I'm terrified of the Ugly Meter ITunes application or would be if the thing actually worked. The Ugly Meter created by Dapper Gentlemen supposedly scans peoples faces and rates how ugly they are on a scale of 1 to 10. It claims to work by scanning facial features and rating them based on proximity, but the truth is results appear to be random. In one test the same face had scores from less than one to six or more. Still the application could be very harmful to people with low self esteem.

In addition the app directly markets to cyber bullies with a new "Bully Mode" that gives users meaner insults than the standard app. Bully Mode also allows users to post pictures of so called ugly people to Facebook and Twitter.

If you find yourself the subject of a high ugly rating just point out the random uselessness of the app to anyone that matters. Then they can judge you for your true ugliness on their own.

Surprised to see that this thing is still around. Looks like it got a big boost from Howard Stern.
