A man believed to go by the name David Simpson in Calgary was sentenced to two years in prison on harassment and voyeurism charges after posting intimate images of at least three women online. In at least one of those cases Mr. Simpson personally photographed the victim in her own bathroom. News reports out of Calgary do not list the name of the defendant in the case citing his prior relationships with the victims. They say that he cannot be named because he lived with one of the victims and dated two to the others, so his privacy must be respected to protect their identities. Canadian prisons do not publish mugshots or even have an inmate locator, so we don't have a picture of him.

Upon his release Simpson will be under court supervision and as part of that won't be allowed to legally photograph anyone without permission. That might breathe a sigh of release into people worried about finding Simpson in their bathroom, but that would be a new crime anyway, so with or without that condition it would be a violation of his release. Unfortunately for the women of Skype the conditions do not prohibit him from Skyping or convincing women to undress while Skyping. That is just one reason why releasing his name does more to protect the public than keeping it a secret just in case someone that knows someone that dated Simpson might read it someday and think that they know one of the victims. So what if they know one of the victims? Then they know that something awful happened to someone they know and can think better of them for having to fight through that. Hopefully any woman considering a relationship with David Simpson in Canada will read this post and think twice about it.

Many people including this author might find it surprising that Simpson got such a short sentence for being such a weirdo. This author for instance received the same amount of time for a single threatening email in the United States and vented some of his frustration to the law enforcement source in this case saying, "It also bothers me to see someone whose offense conduct in my opinion is far worst than mine getting the same amount of time that I did. Simpson's behavior seems predatory versus my conduct which I consider to be reactionary although admittedly more reactionary than how most people would react. In the states we (my fellow convicts and I) probably would have considered conduct such as his 'weirdo' stuff and put a bad jacket on him similar to that of a sex offender. People with Weirdo Jackets cannot peacefully exist in general population because torpedoes are constantly sent to beat them up or worse. In America this guy would probably have to do all his time in protective custody. PC cases end up in the hole in their cells 23 hours a day for their own safety unless they are lucky enough to get to a PC yard. That can take years, so a short timer like Simpson would probably spend most of his time in the hole." The officer responded in part by saying, "Mr. Simpsons 2-year custodial sentence is not exactly a typical case with which to judge sentencing decisions in Canada; custodial sentences are not liberally handed out in our system. There were a significant number of aggravating circumstances in this particular case which was likely deserving of an even longer custodial sentence, however guilty pleas do tend to garner some mitigation in length of sentence. But like you said, our justice system is much different than your justice system and it would be difficult to compare the two." After reading that it became obvious to this author that he probably would not have went to prison in Canada for what he did and Mr. Simpson probably would have gotten a much longer sentence in America. So, the fact that Simpson got any prison time at all speaks to the severity of his conduct. Conduct that Simpson should at least be publicly criticized for by name on top of the prophylactic impact that such warnings may have should women find themselves considering a relationship with him in the future.

This author learned of this man while dealing with an incident of abuse on STDCarriers.com in which a Canadian law enforcement source contacted the website reporting that the subject of two identical reports was one of Mr. Simpson's victims. The reports were then removed due to the poor quality of the explanation because even though what the author described could have happened, the manner in which the author described was so sexually graphic and absent of real substance that it was just not something that would be allowed to stay up on the site. A redacted version of the statement allegedly made by David Simpson was as follows, "I f*cked this young lady really hard and she swallowd all of my c*m for hours. I just know because I gave it to her. The little sl*t loves an*l s*x." Any reasonable person could conclude that that statement was the work of a vindictive person of questionable credibility. Technically it does not appear to violate the website Terms of Use(TOU), so the email address and IPs associated with it won't be released. Not that it would be useful in court since the report was written in 2012 and statutes of limitations have since expired. Usually a post must be proven to violate the TOU to be removed but when the body of the work is of such poor quality STDCarriers.com reserves the right to make editorial decisions to improve the quality of the website.

Because the Canadian press would not release Simpson's name citing what might be some Canadian law against releasing names of defendants in cases such as this when the victim is an intimate partner, we will not release the name of the law enforcement official or what agency he or she works for just in case they made a legal slip up by disclosing Simpson's name to us. The might come as a surprise to anyone that knows anything about us because we are the same people behind CopBlaster.com and obviously have little love for law enforcement. We are protecting this official for a few reasons; First, CopBlaster.com was created in response to aggressive acts of American law enforcement not Canadian law enforcement. Second, law enforcement in general combats problems that every community finds undesirable such as sex crimes, so even if we got rid of the cops such problems are things that someone would have to step up and deal with, a good example of this takes place in American prisons where inmates band together and do things like beat up people for stealing or being sex offenders. Third, this particular official appears to be doing the right thing, so we are not want to discourage that. Fourth, this official appears to be dealing with a flawed system in which his or her ability to do their job can be unnecessarily handicapped and we think that this person should be free to post everything he or she knows about Mr. Simpson online just like American cops can using sex offender registries. Sixth, the fact that an organization that usually puts law enforcement on blast is supporting this official we feel gives extra weight to the credibility of this official since even we support him or her and what he or she is doing.

Finally, STDCarriers.com will release the name of anyone that abuses the website that can be identified by name in an effort to deter future abuse. This has been done in the past and probably will be done in the future. STDCarriers.com intends to use Mr. Simpson as an example not only by posting this article, but also by posting links to it one STDCarriers.com to make people think twice about abusing the website. This is what CyberbullyingReport.com was built for. To serve as trolldar for other websites.

What a creep. Nice to see websites that hold their users accountable.
