An individual going by the name "Emily" or "Emily Urbz" has contacted us claiming to be part of a group that has been disrupting services and destroying data by means of snitching to social networks. The group is linked to an earlier post about one Georgia Cranmer. The same group attacked our Medium account as well as the other site's Twitter account. This email from "Emily" reads as follows:
This 'legitimate business" is publicly shaming people for having sexually transmitted infections, and is completely immoral and DESERVES to be reported, and has successfully been dealt with by twitter. Can you please remove this post, trying to smear someone who is trying to do good and has done no 'twitter harassment'. Do you actually look into the reports you've posted? This is slander, and can affect her whole future, for something that was completely necessary. Add me to this list if you want, I also reported this 'STD' account for making peoples medical record public, which by the way is illegal and against the Privacy Act (HIPAA) and can get you very rightfully sued by anyone they've 'exposed'.
It is on the first page of google when you do google her name, which is absolutely disgusting on your part. The post also claims to know her political leanings, and also publishes her location which is extremely dangerous. She's now scared and worried. This is completely disgusting from a page that says they're 'against' cyberbullying, while making it much easier for people to very publicly bully and harass others.
Reconsider your medium, it posts unfounded, unverified information about others as if it's fact.
