When Sam Lutfi found himself at the center of the Britney Spears scandal MTV found out that Danny Haines had taken out a restraining order against him back in 2005 that ordered Lutfi to stay away from him as well as his family. Haines took out the order because he considered Lutfi to be a dangerous person after receiving several threatening emails and text messages from Lutif some of which wished death upon him.
Lutfi also sent nude pictures of Haines to his boss and his family.
