Date Reported: Wednesday, June 29, 2011
Status: Past Incident
Severity: Moderate - Public Bullying
Primary Weapon: Social Networks
Specific Location: Brooklyn
City/Local Area: New York City
State/Territory: New York
Region: United States
Lisa Rinna was accused of harassing her former Celebrity Apprentice co-star Star Jones earlier this year in what started as a behind the scenes dispute involving profane emails and escalated into public Twitter bullying. Jones said that the emails started after Rinna blamed Jones for getting her fired by Donald Trump and sent home from the show. Eventually Rinna started posting comments about Jones on her public Twitter page one of which claimed to be a picture of her with Jones, but was really a picture of her with a devil doll.
The exact details about private messages and emails is not yet public, so its hard to judge exactly how bad the harassment may have been. Still the pattern of kicked off show, sending emails, and making tweets portraying Jones as the devil indicate a likely case of repeated harassment through unwanted contact and insulting posts.
